GPS, The What Ifs. Live FAA Wings Seminar.

A selection of real life GPS emergency scenarios

What if RAIM fails while you are flying inbound to the missed approach point on a standalone GPS approach in IMC, what would you do? What if the GPS screen goes blank, what would you do? What if an engine fails while IMC, would you be able to harness the power of GPS to help ensure a successful outcome? These are some of the "what ifs" we will discuss and learn to handle. Become more aware and better prepared.

"Little-discussed topic with good, solid info that is otherwise hard to get but can easily be of use in real flying," said Art Friedman

"This was my first online aviation seminar, and I have to say it was very effective and enjoyable. Thanks for the more efficient use of the 'Direct To' key in an emergency situation. In an emergency, you’d want a procedure that follows the KISS principle, like your procedure," said Cesar Managad.
